STUDENT OF THE DAY

Student of the Day is a program initiated by The Be Dauntless Foundation, a non-profit charitable entity led by young humanitarian artists who are working endlessly to make this world a better place to live by standing with the right cause in the society. At Dauntless, our vision is to empower children with quality education and enable them to become literate citizens, irrespective of their social and economic background.

Research has shown that children between 13-17 years (adolescent period) are more prone to be suffering from anxiety disorders, depression, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Every year more than 9.8 million Indian teenagers are reported under depression and other mental disorders. The feeling of low self-esteem leads to depression in children. It is characterized by a lack of confidence, insecurity, and feeling miserable by oneself. Children who are suffering from these issues are more prone to have low educational achievement, greater involvement with the false/criminal records, and fewer stable placements in the child welfare system.

Student of the Day is one of the most prominent creative programs which has been helping in building confidence and self-esteem within children in the age group of 13-17 years by rewarding them with gifts to ignite their passion and kindle them with self-accomplishment and day-to-day achievement which encourages them to study effectively and efficiently. As Teresa Amabile has rightly quoted, "Track your small wins to motivate big accomplishments."

Be Dauntless Foundation is helping these children to shape their future and make them realise their rights and potentials. Nandini, an underprivileged girl, says, "I always faced gender discrimination in my family, we are four sisters and one brother. My father always shows his unhappiness because he had so many daughters and only one son. I felt so left out. After joining Dauntless, I have learned about how education is important in life to fulfill your dreams. I'm the most awarded student at Dauntless with the title 'Student of the Day."

Be Dauntless foundation, pledges to build self-confidence and self-esteem within students, and make them feel empowered by responding to individual's needs and encouraging education.
