PARYAAVARAN PREM

Paryaavaran Prem is a program initiated by The Be Dauntless Foundation, a non-profit charitable entity led by young humanitarian artists who are working endlessly to make this world a better place to live by standing with the right cause in the society. At Dauntless, we aim to provide adequate and correct knowledge about environmental issues and to bridge the gap between environmental needs and awareness in the lives of slum people.

Paryaavaran Prem is one of the utmost important programs. The survey revealed that India loses at least 1000 children a day because of the unhealthy environment and the reason for these deaths is due to lack of proper hygienic facilities. Rapid urbanization and economic development have put an unnecessary burden on the environment which threatens the future generation with the progress of time. Rapid burning of fuelwood, deforestation, poor garbage disposal, plastic production, loss of biodiversity , resource deficiency, mining, emission of greenhouse gases is some of the problems that are putting environmental health in jeopardy.

Every child has a right to safe drinking water, a sanitary environment, and uncontaminated food. India’s current environmental policies recognize the need for sustainable development but lack of insight amongst the masses is a huge cost to pay. As Dennis Weaver rightly quoted, "We don’t have to sacrifice a strong economy for a healthy environment."

With the campaign of Paryaavaran Prem, Be Dauntless raised awareness of sensitization and alerted people towards cleanliness and hygiene for better health-care. Cleanliness is a habit, not an act. We also contributed towards making a place free of plastic pollution. As Wendell Berry rightly quoted, "The Earth is what we all have in common." We all must protect our mother nature.

Dauntless Foundation, pledges to make our campus free from plastic and contribute to achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals 13 by 2030. We took our little steps for the betterment.
